‘2 Meal Day’ Personal Trainer Urges People to Reduce Meat Intake

Personal trainer Max Lowery says that people are eating too much meat.

The former sprinter reduced his meat intake and put on 4kg of muscle. Lowery includes “at least” three meat-free days into his routine, whilst training “more than ever”- specifically, six Olympic Lifting sessions per week.

Lowery does not take protein shakes, and said he is experiencing no negative side effects from these changes.

Lowery is also the founder and author of “Your Two-Meal Day”, a health and exercise regime.

He speaks out about protein myths, particularly in the fitness world. He states that the public is led to believe that we need more protein than is necessary.

On his website, Lowery explains how too much protein can “interfere with your health and fitness goals in a number of ways, including weight gain” and can cause “stress on your kidneys”.

Contrastingly, protein deficiency is virtually unheard of. In fact, physician Dr. Greger says thatOn average, vegetarians and vegans get 70% more protein than they need every day”.

Lowery says the demand for meat has resulted in the unethical treatment of animals in agriculture and urges people to reduce their meat consumption.

The change, he explains online, will benefit the environment and your wallet.

Many athletes are turning to veganism to improve their health and physical performance. It’s easier than ever to eat high-protein, low-fat meals that don’t damage your body at the same time.

Shortly, Max Lewery is due to release his new 2-Meal Day plan containing 80 new and  simple plant-based recipes.

Max says, “It’s all about eating real food for me!”
